On Monday, the 20th day of August, 2018, a group known as “Center for Peace and Self Value Re-orientation”, led by it’s Chairman Comrade Oyibo A. Abraham, presented an Award of Integrity of Stewardship” to the MD/CEO of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, Ven. Barr. Amaechi Okwuosa.
In his opening remarks, Comrade Oyibo stated that the essence of their visit is to thank the MD/CEO for thinking right, and serving as advocate of good governance. He further described him as a man who has stood beyond all odds and distinguished himself among his colleagues, a silent achiever, an icon of peace and a generational change maker. He also said that the organization does not visit any government institution without focus, adding that they are resolute, determined and sincerely committed to the ideal of democracy, good governance and servant leadership concept in our country. He also said that the organization is doing the 7th edition program on good governance, education and government policy implementation, hence the Award.
In response, the obviously elated MD/CEO, dedicated the Award to God Almighty, His Excellency Chief Dr Maduaburochukwu Obiano, and members of his staff present who according to him, helped the Agency to stand firm. Ven. Okwuosa preached self value and self appreciation which, he said, will help to impact positively on people, adding that failure is not the end of the world, but an awareness to get up and get things right. He praised the State Government’s transparency and prudency, adding that ACTDA believes strongly on using that strategy to curb unnecessary expenditure.
In his vote of thanks, Okala Ifeanyi, one of the ACTDA GIS Analysts, praised Ven. Okwuosa for encouraging public accessibility, adding that the staff will learn that from him.
